Four new dances for January 10 & 11 presented at Velocity Dance Center with amalgamations of Seattle improvisational music ensembles curated by Kin of the Moon. The movement is sourced from Karin's improvisational practices videotaped outside in various landscapes. The dances, choreographed for various local Seattle dancers, will come together for two nights of spontaneous sound creation with some of Seattle's best Sound Improvisers. Karin is moving through the outside world to allow four new dances to arise from the tones and rhythms experienced through her body moving with the natural world. She is hoping the musicians will elevate this magic of body and place through sounds that will unfold by their witness and real-time experience of the movement patterns in each dance.
