For April 23rd, as part of National Water Dance, we are gathering dancers and walkers to move along the Greenlake path and "Stand with Tribes - Breach the Snake - Save Our Salmon" (and Southern Resident ORCAS!).
We will meet before 1pm (12:30 for dancers) near the SW boat launch area, and commence to move around the Greenlake path at 1pm.
Would YOU like to join the dance?
OR walk, hold a sign you make, and pass out flyers we will provide that encourage folks to call Governor Inslee and Senator Murray?
Please email karinstevens@karinstevensdance.com to receive more information and join this movement.
We are at an historically pivotal moment. Breaching the Lower Snake River dams NOW is our best chance for saving multiple wild salmon and steelhead runs from extinction. That includes wild Chinook that our Lower Resident Orcas prefer and swim great distances to eat.
Last fall, Sen. Murray and Gov. Inslee committed to develop and deliver a comprehensive solution to protect and recover Snake River salmon and invest in the region's communities by July 31, 2022. Let's keep the pressure on our elected officials in these next few, critical months.
