Big LOVE Movement Sundays

in The Art & Practice of Movement

Sundays: March 26, April 23rd, May 14th &28th, June 11th & 25th

Time ~ 10 - 11am PST

Live ONLINE - Zoom

For an hour on Sunday mornings, we will move to feel for the quantum levels of our bodily-being enfolding into and out from the larger expanse of be/com/ing. We will deepen the capacity within us to find rest and unfold action at the same time. To re/connect with the flow of the named and unnamed source of our wholly & holy evolutionary movements in the Big LOVE.

See Karin’s bio below.

THE ART & PRACTICE OF MOVEMENT

These non-traditional movement sessions are for humans interested in the evolution of their physical, emotional, mental and spiritual body-being and becoming. The purpose of this practice is to participate in a healing art that reconnects us to our embodied selves in ecological health with expanding resilience to do our work for a better world.

It is for all levels of movement abilities and interests. Karin leads with gentle and diverse prompting through 8 patterns of movement and a range of rhythms, tones and spiritual insight. Within this structure you will discover more space in your mind, opening in your heart, sensations in your body, and more awareness of your unique rhythms. You will cultivate more movement patterns for well being and for overcoming any challenges; you may even experience improvement in mood and physical pain! Your inner spirit will be dancing and your whole body self will be surprised by the multiplicity of movement available to you through life’s challenges and through the evolution in the art of your life!

The Art & Practice of Movement is rooted in the philosophy that movement is life and necessary for our evolution, our overcoming, our healing, and our connecting more deeply with ourselves, with each other and with the world. We can move to (re)TURN our ancient-future-now-earth-body for the greater collective good in the BIG LOVE MOVEMENT!

Karin Stevens is a somatic coach, spiritual healer, transformationalist and facilitator in The Art & Practice of Movement. For nine year she has been assisting others on their own evolutionary and healing journeys through movement in individual and group sessions. With over 25 years in embodied movement and spiritual practices she brings robust wisdom and deep sensitivity to the needs of every unique session.  As a Seattle based Choreographer, Dance Artist and Transformationalist she believes in the power of movement to bring us back into health and spiritual ecology within ourselves, with each other, and through our natural and built environments.

In spite of being a life-long vocational dancer, Karin had to learn to move in new ways to overcome her personal pain and challenges.  She believes that if every individual began this same journey back into the body, each one of us will become a great force for collective healing and transformation, particularly in the area of dismantling white supremacy.

Through her dance company, Karin Stevens Dance (2009-present), she creates imaginative, visionary, collaborative, immersive performer and audience experiences at the interchange of movement, art, ecology and social issues. She believes we must commune, collaborate and converse through movement, sound and ideas for an equitable and sustainable future for all.
